Where to next?

I have had quite a few emails from musicians...all wondering where we will go next as regards to trying to sell music...indeed only this week I had a friend in Italy telling me he is now giving up music full time as he can not make it pay. The thing is..I have been told that live performances are the way forward and you can sell your music at the show.
