Profile Information

Bio
Jaloes is a songwriter and composer of contemporary minimalist music, using keyboards, computers and software for multi-track recording. Some of his major influences are Wim Mertens, Philip Glass and Yann Tiersen.

His music is based on repetition, where a melodic pattern is enhanced with a new figure or a small difference that creates a new pattern, and thus gradually. Another frequent feature of his music can be observed in the superposition of several simple patterns to achieve a more elaborate pattern. Some of the key elements in his creative process are melody, repetition, superposition and addition.

In March 2009 Jaloes released the album "Weather" with nine compositions played by computer and mixed and produced by the author himself. "Weather" is relaxing music written to express the mood for several weather conditions, through a set of uplifting pieces of musical progression. These songs are made with several layers of electronic patterns and repetitive piano chords.
