About This years Grammy's
Music's Biggest Night, the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards, returns to Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, and will air live on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). To accommodate an earlier date, the eligibility year for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be shortened by one month and will run from Oct. 1, 2008, through Aug. 31, 2009. The date for the GRAMMY nominations announcement — which showcases GRAMMY Award finalists, the year's best and brightest in music as voted on by The Recording Academy's membership of music professionals — will be reported shortly.

"We are delighted to host the world's premier music event in our hometown again, especially with the newly-opened GRAMMY Museum in our backyard," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy. "As always, GRAMMY Week will kick off with events that showcase various genres of music, educational programs and charitable initiatives. We also look forward to working on another remarkable GRAMMY telecast with the City of Los Angeles and our great partners at CBS and Staples Center."

"Music's Biggest Night on America's most watched network always creates memorable moments for television," said Jack Sussman, CBS executive vice president, specials, music and live events. "We look forward to doing it again with our partners at The Recording Academy."

GRAMMY Week — a weeklong series of cultural events culminating in Music's Biggest Night — will again feature celebrations of music, fashion, education, and philanthropy including the "Salute To" series, GRAMMY Style Studio, GRAMMY Career Day, The Recording Academy and Clive Davis Pre-GRAMMY Gala, the annual MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute, the GRAMMY Foundation's Music Preservation Project program, the Entertainment Law Initiative Luncheon & Scholarship Presentation, and the Producers & Engineers Wing event, among others.

That's what we've been doing, but it only works in the PDF that you are in. Every category has a separate file so it takes some real digging. I think they do this on purpose to keep people from doing a lot of advertising and lobbying. They go out of their way to emphasize everyone should be fair and listen and compare. If that happens I have no problem with it whatsoever!

To search in a PDF use "control F" and then type the name you want to search.

That's good to know.

Just a note to anyone voting, the Grammy office said names could be searched on the site to see what categories they are listed in, but you can't. Since it is against the rules to list SPECIFIC category names or numbers let me just say this about our entries for your consideration: our main one is in column two, down 3 - the others are in arranging, production and engineering. That's not being specific since there are multiple categories in each of those.

I will definitely search it out Lawrence and give it serious consideration. That is what is so great about this group that Nick put up. If gives musicians a chance to support each other!
